East Hampton to Windham

If this open stretch is a glimpse of things to come, it will be a premier trail, and Willimantic could become a trail hub, offering connections to the Hop River and Moosup Valley state park trails. Round-trip riders should start in East Hampton. If you forgot to fill your water bottle at home, you can do so in the first half mile from one of the small waterfalls, created when railroad crews blasted ‘Bishops Cut” through solid rock. Over the next 3 miles, you’ll cross the Rapallo and Lyman Viaducts.
